The Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) belongs as many other human pathogen viruses

like Influenza, Ebola, Mumps and Measles to the enveloped viruses. A deactivation by using

disinfectants is easier than at non enveloped viruses.

Based in the big needed quantities of disinfectants in the health sector caused in

the  worldwide Corona Crisis we have intensivied the production

of our disinfectant Centrovir.

Centrovir is a skin-compatible  disinfectant on Ethanolbasis according to the

recommendations of  the WHO and registered in Germany at the Federal Institute

for Occupational Safety and Health under number 88262.

The effectiveness of ethanolic solutions as given in our Centrovir for the hygienic hand

disinfection, also against Corona viruses, is ensured by using 3 ml and an exposure time of

30 seconds outside as well as within the patient care.

New Two Reagent HbA1c Kit

Diagnosis of HbA1c:

The determination of glucose shows only the actual blood glucose level, but the blood glucose level is dependent on nutrition and daily rhythms. For the clinical diagnosis of Glycemia over a longer period the glycated hemoglobines can be determined as long termed parameter. The higher the blood glucose level is the higher is the percentage of HbA1c.

Possible interference factors:

          Too high values (exemplary)

  • Medicaments (e.g. high doses of Acetylsalicylicacid)
  • Organ transplantation
  • Hb-pathia (HbF etc.)
  • Kidney insufficiency
  • Anemias
    Too low values (exemplary)
  • Hb-pathia (HbS etc.)
  • Loss of blood
  • Chronically kidney insufficiency
  • Medicaments (e.g. Erythropoetin)
  • Livercirrhosis
  • Folic acid deficiency

Significance of values:

Healthy adults: 4.5-6.0% (26-42 mmol/mol)

Values higher than 6% indicate, that the blood glucose level was increased for a longer time.


The Centronic HbA1c test is based on the interaction of a latex bound mouse antihuman HbA1c monoclonal antibody with the HbA1c to build a complex. Finally an agglutination is formed by interaction of a goat antimouse IgG polyclonal antibody with the monoclonal antibody. The agglutination is measured photometrically.

The calibration is done with four available levels of the Centronic calibration set.

Sodium and Potassium enzymatic Testkit

The new Centronic enzymatic reagents for the determination of

Sodium and Potassium can be measured on all common analysers and

are a reliable alternative to often used ISE.



Sodium and Potassium play essential roles in every electrolyte metabolism.
Both have to be measured to identify an electrolyte imbalance.
Therefore the control of these electrolytes within a disease diagnosis is very important.



Potassium is the most frequent intracelluar cation. The internal Potassium-Homeostasis is regulated by a Sodium/Potassium pump between the extracellular- and the intracellular area. Significant dysfunctions can appear already at a loss of 1% of the total potassium.

Normal range: 3.3-5.4 mmol/l

Possible indications:

- Too low:
-- Dysfunction in circulation through Alkalosis, Insulin increases, increses in Catecholamines
-- Decrease of the total potassium in the organism through renal loss, gastrointestinal loss (Diarrhea, vomiting etc.)

- Too high:
-- Dysfunction in circulation through Azidosis, Diabetes mellitus etc.
-- Increase of the total potassium in the organism through renal failure, morbus Addison, special diuretica, decomposition of tissue (tumors, lymphomes, cytostatics, hemolysis etc.)
-- high takings of potassium
-- artificial increase through whole blood sample storage of longer than 2-4 hours, longer congestion during blood sampling and hemolysis in the sample tube

- Too high:
-- Dehydratation through
--- reduced hydration
--- increased ullage (diarrhea, fever, strong perspiration, polyuria)
--- renal diabetes inspidus (nephrocalcinosis etc.)
--- central diabetes inspidus (craniocerebral injury)
-- Hyperhydratation through
--- increased intake of NaCl
--- increased back resorption of sodium (limited renal function)

- Too low:
-- Hyperhydratation (renal failure, cardiac infarction etc.)
-- Euvolemia (syndrom of inadequate ADH secretion at brain tumor, tuberculosis etc.)
-- Dehydratation (vomiting, diarrhea, morbus addison etc.)

Normal range: 135-145 mmol/l (adults), 133-143 mmol/l (children)
